AFSCME Political Volunteer of the Month

AFSCME Iowa Council 61 recognizes Kenton Cole as Political Volunteer of the Month.

Kenton serves as President of MT Pleasant Correctional Facility Local 2995 and in addition to his duties as Local President and Steward, he serves as PEOPLE Chair for the 2nd Congressional District.

AS an AFSCME MVP activist, Kenton  understands the role of political action and how it affects the lives of working families in Iowa. Under Kenton's watch, Local 2995 has also reached 25% PEOPLE MVP membership. He doesn't hesitate to volunteer and played a key role in the successful Special Elections of Rep Curt Hanson, HD 90 and Rep Kirsten Running-Marquardt, HD 33. Kenton also volunteered in the run off election for MT Pleasant City Councilman At-Large candidate and AFSCME member, John Klopfenstein.

Thank You Kenton for your commitment and continued hard work!
